The School  
Guru Harkrishan Public School, Nanak Piao was established in April 1982 by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee with the aim of providing Public School Education in an environment conducive to the imbibing of our cultural ethos and values.

The School is recognized by the Directorate of Education, Delhi and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education for the AISSCE pattern examination.

The School is housed in a beautiful building with ample open space for playgrounds in a lush green four acre plot.
 
   
Aims & Objectives  

The basic ethos of the school is to provide education that is inclusive in all respects.

All activities and policies are child centric and each child is guided to comprehend and progress at his own pace, The School motto:

System Of Education  
The School provides educational instruction to prepare students for all three streams at the Senior Secondary level viz Humanities, Commerce and Science.  
   
Underlying Policy  
The School is conscious of its social responsibilities & in keeping with the policy of EFA(Education for All), the process of admission is not selective. Providing equal opportunity for all is the inherent aim and thrust of all school policies.  
   
Concept Based Education  
To ensure a strong foundation and to develop clarity of concepts, projects and activities are so planned that the students ‘learn by doing’. Experiential learning goes a long way in furthering this aim. Activities, Projects and Worksheets comprise this module.  
   
Work Experience  
Multiple Activities are offered to all students to help them develop a sense of pride in working with their hands, be it Electrical Gadgets, Gardening, Decoupage, Macrame, Painting et al. This also enhances their appreciation of the variegated fabric of our traditional crafts in addition to teaching them how to cope with the daily chores-depending on their choice of activity.
 
   
Music, Fine Art & Dance  
Students need to be guided to appreciate art and music. This furthers the goal of providing the students with an environment which is fraught with opportunities that empowers him to undertake an adventurous journey of self discovery. The true value of GHPS child lies in his/her self discipline, self mastery, and love for learning. The academic achievements are a natural outcome.
